Policies and Procedures

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. Exceptions may be made in extreme cases at our discretion.

If we should need to cancel your appointment with LESS than a 4 hour notice, you will receive a complimentary massage gift certificate to compensate you for your inconvenience.

I accept cancellations by phone only. DO NOT send me an email to cancel an appointment.

Sickness Policy

We recognize that both massage therapists and clients are vulnerable to infections and therefore ask clients to cancel appointments when they are feeling unwell. If you have any of the following contagious illnesses the massage session will be rescheduled: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Chicken Pox, Measles, Mumps, Meningitis, Hepatitis A, Conjunctivitis, Rubella, Head Lice, Impetigo, Influenza, Meningococcal Disease, Polio, Ringworm of the body, feet or scalp, Scabies, Thrush, Whooping Cough, and the Common Cold.

Late Arrivals and No-shows

Your massage therapist will arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment start time in order to set up your massage space and allow time for a consultation and for you to complete any new client forms. If unseen circumstances prevent the therapist from arriving on time, then the massage session will be prorated or be complimentary if appropriate.

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session.

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment. Persistent “no-shows” (2 or more times) will no longer be allowed to make appointments.

Payment

I accept cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard. Receipts for payments are available at the time of purchase or can be sent via email.

There will be a $25 service fee on any returned checks.

Gratuities -

are very welcomed and much appreciated although they are not mandatory. Service and gift certificate prices do not include gratuities. For your convenience, they may be added at time of purchase and are greatly appreciated.

Gift Certificates & Packages

Gift certificates can be purchased for a dollar amount or for a specific service. Gift certificates must be presented to therapist before any treatment has taken place in order to pay for the service. All treatment and/or service packages offered must be paid in full. Monetary reimbursements for unused treatment sessions will not be made. Clients do have the option of transferring their remaining sessions to a friend or family member.
